It&#8217;s staged at a purpose-built exhibition centre on the grounds of Friedrichshafen Airport, not far from Lake Constance &#8211; or, as it&#8217;s known locally, Bodensee.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers say 600 exhibitors from 38 countries will be at the event, from gliders and microlights right up to light business jets and turboprops, with everything in between.<\/p>\n<p>There will be special emphasis, as in previous years, on innovation in the form of electric and hybrid aircraft, avionics and flight training. It&#8217;s the event where many manufacturers of both aircraft and equipment choose to launch new products in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also where Europe&#8217;s policymakers &#8211; EASA &#8211; and industry and other interested parties meet to discuss current issues. All aircraft flying in will require a slot to be booked online. One day&#8217;s entry into the show will be free for any pilot flying in.
